Tata Motors passenger vehicles are back in South Africa. The Indian brand returns to South Africa after a six-year hiatus in partnership with Motus Holdings.
With a portfolio that ranges from compact hatchbacks to high performance SUVs, Tata offers a comprehensive line up of modern vehicles and the brand returns to SA with an offering that includes four of those models.

Tata’s range features a modern design and innovative technology while remaining accessible and affordable.
Tata Motors has pioneered safety in India, with all their cars being four and five star rated by New Car Safety Assessment programs (GNCAP and BNCAP – Official NCAP assessment for India) and the brand looks forward to offering modern, well-equipped vehicles with inherent safety to local consumers. The South African range boasts segment-leading safety across the offering which includes SUVs, Crossovers and entry-level hatchbacks.

Tata Tiago

The range kicks off with the Tiago, which is a funky compact hatchback that continues where the Indica and Bolt left off and which will be offered in four derivatives.
The Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder engine that boasts 63kW and 113Nm and which is paired to either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed Automated manual transmission.

Inside, this compact hatchback is jam packed with features including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 7.0-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System. Safety is taken care of by ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control as well as driver and passenger airbags.

Tata Punch

The Punch is Tata’s take on a compact SUV and five derivatives will be offered. Despite its compact size, the Punch boasts numerous innovative features, including doors that can open 90 degrees for easier entry and exit.

The Punch is powered by the same 1.2-litre Revotron, three-cylinder engine but offering 65kW at 6000rpm and 115Nm at 3 350rpm in this configuration.
Standard technology fitted includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and either a seven-inch infotainment screen or a floating 10.5-inch infotainment system.
Thanks to ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, dual airbags and ESP, the Punch boasts a five-star Global NCAP rating.

Tata Curvv

Tata’s Curvv is a coupe styled SUV that offers style and capability in equal measure. With impressive ground clearance, space for up to five passengers and a 500-litre boot it is ready for any of life’s adventures.

Under the bonnet is a 1.2-litre Revotron engine, that benefits from turbocharging to offer 88kW and 170Nm. The Curvv is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCA, both of which transfer power to the front wheels.

Comprehensive standard specification includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a seven or 10.25-inch infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, mood lighting and a comprehensive list of safety equipment, including ABS with EBD, ESP and six airbags.

Tata Harrier

The Tata Harrier is the brands full-sized SUV, offering an abundance of specification and size.
The Harrier is powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine offering 125kW at 3 750rpm and 350Nm at 1 750rpm, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
A high tech interior features either a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Thanks to the fitment of a comprehensive suite of safety systems including ABS with EBD, ESP, Corner Stability Control and up to seven airbags the Harrier features a five-star Global NCAP rating.
Creature comforts include voice enabled dual zone automatic air conditioning, a gesture-controlled power tailgate, a front armrest with cooled storage, ventilated driver and passenger seats and terrain response modes, which allow the driver to tailor the driving experience according to their preferences or the conditions underfoot.
