When it comes to acquiring a new vehicle, budget constraints often play a significant role in our decision-making process. We all seek a reliable and efficient means of transportation that fits within our financial capabilities. In recent years, the automotive industry has witnessed a surge in new finance options as an attractive alternative to traditional car ownership.
Toyota has just introduced its latest offering called
KINTO. Here are the details....
Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) made a significant shift in November 2017 when it launched the "Start Your Impossible" campaign, signaling its transformation from an automotive company to a mobility company. While cars would still be part of its product range, TMC aimed to expand its horizons by offering various mobility solutions that extend beyond traditional driving experiences.
One of TMC's initiatives, known as "Mobility for All," focused on introducing transportation solutions, advanced technologies, and next-generation mobility concepts. This is where
KINTO comes into play. As society moves away from conventional car ownership towards car usage, there is a growing demand for a service that allows customers to freely choose a
Toyota or
Lexus vehicle and enjoy it without the constraints of conventional financing models.
To meet this need,
Toyota introduced
KINTO, a unified brand for mobility solutions worldwide. The name
KINTO originates from the Japanese word "
KINTO-un," which means "Flying Nimbus" - a cloud that magically appears anytime, anywhere, and transports you to your desired destination. This initiative aligns with
Toyota's global vision of evolving from a vehicle manufacturer to a comprehensive mobility company, providing a wide range of services to facilitate people's movement.
Toyota South Africa is delighted to introduce
KINTO, a groundbreaking pay-as-you-go mobility solution that not only offers hassle-free driving of a new
Toyota Vitz but also makes it more affordable. In many ways, this compact newcomer lives up to its marketing tagline -
Vitz for Victory - proving that significant benefits can indeed come in small packages.
Initially,
KINTO SA will launch
KINTO ONE, a pay-as-you-go service available through all
Toyota and
Lexus dealerships. It includes the following features:
* The opportunity to drive a
Toyota or
Lexus of your choice, complete with desired accessories, along with financing and depreciation costs.
* All scheduled services, maintenance, and warranty coverage for the duration of the contract.
* Connected Car features such as Wi-Fi and Telematics.
* Stolen vehicle recovery service and unit.
* Initial license and registration.
*
KINTO Protect Limited Liability waiver, providing peace of mind in the unfortunate event of an accident or theft.
"With the introduction of the
Vitz in May 2023 and in line with
Toyota's global vision of becoming a mobility company offering diverse services worldwide, we are thrilled to announce the new
KINTO Vitz special offering, effective from June 1, 2023," states Slade Thompson, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at
KINTO SA.
Now, let's talk about the cost of driving a new
Vitz. The special introductory offer for
KINTO Vitz is R2,999 per month for 12 months (covering 18,000 km) on a
Toyota Vitz 1.0 MT.
In essence,
KINTO ONE provides the ultimate mobility solution by combining the vehicle, service, and maintenance into a single transparent monthly payment, with no hidden fees when returning the vehicle at the end of the contract.
KINTO ONE is also highly flexible, allowing customers to adjust the monthly mileage and contract period at any point during the agreement. (https://www.carfind.co.za/news/Mitsubishi-Motors-SA-Rewarded/503 plans to introduce additional mobility product services based on market demands.)
